The Town of LaSalle currently proposes:

- to develop 2,400 acres of land
- change designated land uses from Natural Environment and Agricultural, to Residential and Commercial
- pave over and around Provincially Significant woodlands and wetlands
- increase the population by up to 42,000 people in this 2,400 acre area

Many of you will remember David Suzuki talking about our islands of green and how important it is for genetic dispersal for species survival.
